Buffalo Bills add two more to the Hall of Fame
Congratulations to Bruce Smith and Ralph Wilson, Jr. for earning the votes necessary to be permanently enshrined in the professional football Hall of Fame in Canton Ohio. It makes me proud as a Bills fan to see these guys go represent our team. It was inevitable that more of the people responsible for those awesome early 1990’s teams would end up in the Hall of Fame. These two class act people both well deserve the honor of belonging to that group of select men. Whether or not you made it into the Hall of Fame, we Bills fans still would have never forgotten either one of you and how much joy you have brought to our lives.

Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce!
Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce!
How many times have you heard that at a game? I have written before about Bruce before and how much he is loved by the fans and this community.
Bruce,
First and foremost, congratulations.
Thanks for all those third and long drive ending sacks.
Thanks for single handedly destroying good offenses.
Thanks for sacking Dan Marino.
Thanks for giving us fans so much to cheer about. I mean a lot!
Thanks for never letting us down when we needed your presence the most.
If I have half the success in my career that you have had in yours, I will be a very successful man. It could not have happened to a better guy. Thanks for all the happy memories. You rock man. Feel the power.
Ralph Wilson Jr. is now in the Hall of Fame
Ralph,
Congratulations Ralph! Being one of the league’s original owners is quite an honor. I can’t thank you enough for building your franchise here in Buffalo. When I was a little kid playing football with the neighbors, all the kids would talk about how they dreamed of being a Buffalo Bills player some day. We would decide for ourselves exactly what position we were going to play and how we were going to get our foot in the door there.
Without having the Bills here, it is doubtful that we would have been nearly as enthused about football. I have to give you some of the credit for all of those fond childhood memories. You have made western New York a better place to live. Thank you.
Growing up as a young boy who is a Bills fan, we become so attached to the team that it becomes part of our family. Now, as an adult, we can look back at our youth and be truly grateful for all of the great things in our lives. I consider the Buffalo Bills to be one of the great parts of my life. Just like my brothers, the Bills have ticked me off from time to time; but, deep down, the love is still there. It will always be there. Thanks Mr. Wilson.
